German defence minister responds to US president’s announcement that 5,000 US troops will leave bases in Germany
A senior Iranian military officer said renewed fighting between the US and Iran was “likely”, according to the Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency.
The statement followed reports that Donald Trump was “not satisfied” with a new Iranian proposal to end the war. Iran delivered the proposal to mediator Pakistan on Thursday evening, Iranian state media reported, without detailing its contents.
